Be Always Idle with your Google talk

Google talk, in its own doesnt have any feature so that you can set your status to Idle. We may not be having the option of Invisible in Gogle talk (Standard)also. In that case instead of posting a Busy status we can instead Keep a Idle status, which would mean that we are not active,not at desk etc..for atleast 15 mins.

If you need to keep your status as Idle , Here is a software that would enable you to set the status to Idle. It was introduced by www.galwaysidle.com,But this website is currently down. So you may download the software from here.

GalwaysIdle -Download (Zipped folder contains executable file and a .dll file).

Just Run the .exe file and restart the computer. And when you open your gtalk just right click on the gtalk icon on the system tray and you will see the options as shown in fig.

Google's Offline Transliteration tool for Indian Languages

We often use transliteration (typing in mother tongue language) while we are in Orkut, Blogger, Gmail. Now Google has come up with a Transliteration tool such that you can use this tool even under the absence of a active Internet connection i.e offline.

Google Transliteration IME is an input method editor which allows users to enter text in one of the supported languages using a roman keyboard. Users can type a word the way it sounds using Latin characters and Google Transliteration IME will convert the word to its native script. Note that this is not the same as translation -- it is the sound of the words that is converted from one alphabet to the other, not their meaning. Converted content will always be in Unicode.

Google Transliteration IME is currently available for 14 different languages -Arabic, Bengali, Farsi (Persian), Greek, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
